In media session, we took a short video of shoes we design in last week.
The most challenging thing for me is the time limited of the video, I’m accustomed to shoot some slowly and quite video, but I found it’s very hard to use the way I’m familiar with to make a quick film. When I was editing the film, I must try to find more different method to express concept, it is also becoming a good chance for me to find some new camera language. After I watched other student’s works, I learn a lot, I think I need to be open to all new things or skills or tools but not just thinking about the camera language I always used. The reason why I love slowly video is because I’m a big fan of a Japanese director– Shunji Iwai, who like use slowly rhythm as well.
In addition, I also considered about the selection of future profession in this session, Teacher said the costume is more about story, but womenswear is about contemporary fashion. I think I’m a very weird person, a lot of people said to choose profession you love, but for me, I prefer to study something I do not know or do not familiar with. I very love creating, and very love to be alone, so of course I love to appreciate a story, it’s quite suitable to enjoy an interesting story when you are alone. But I think, creating story already became a part of my life, I like anime, novel, film and so on, and I will think about some interesting plot in my free time as well. Although I love them, I still want to study contemporary fashion. I will always love story, virtual world though I’m not study them, but maybe I will not study fashion without the relationship with the job. I think it could bring me to a different world, and I could experience some new things. As what I mentioned in PPD session blog, I want to know about the things that made me felt strange.
I know it may sound immature or very weird, but I’m telling the truth, that’s the answer from my heart after I asked myself again and again. And I’m the kinds of person cannot got a long plan for my future; I think it all decided by current…
