In business session 1, we explored trend forecasting, the marketing mix. We did some moodboards to explore what kinds of elements might inspired one fashion product, then did a brainstorm of marketing mix for one retailer.
There were many group activities during this section, we were working together and found idea together, I found my classmates are familiar with a lot of different brands, but I’m lack this information. In addition, when we were discussing, laurel always be the one who organized a group, though she seems tired, she was still trying to talk to us. I do not feel confident about my English, so I didn’t help her for organizing, but I think it is not right, maybe I need to have a try at least. It is too selfish to reject the responsibilities when you friends felt not good. I found people always tend to rely on the stronger people, perhaps people are afraid of mess up, but I think have a try is better than do nothing.
I love moodboard, I think moodboard is about imagination, Imagination helps us to connection different things to one product. Because I have a good feeling of mood, so I felt relax when I’m doing this. One thing I’m not satisfied with is because my poor English. As I gradually felt relax in the class, I am becoming easier to miss information…… In the last few months, I’m still afraid of missing any information, but now I can ask my friends, it makes me too relaxing, and when I missed the information about our task, I became slowly and could not catch up. I think I need to pay more attention to it next time. To avoiding distracted from teacher, I think I need to read the words on the power point as soon as it is moving on, it’s good for me to understand and will help me focusing on the information.
